One way that Taylor has described this album as her life behind the curtain, including her post-show come down. There’s a series of images in the album visuals that show Taylor out of the stadium venue and in her hotel room. Some snaps capture Taylor in the process of un-making herself from the show, but still decked in heels and fishnets. In keeping with the glamour of a showgirl, it’s fitting that the most pared back we see her, even when “letting loose” to jump on a bed, she is still in a satin bustier and fur-trimmed sheer robe.

If I needed further proof of the Dita Von Teese connection, the custom robe by her go-to costumier Catherine D’lish solidifies it. D’lish also provided custom bustiers for both Dita and Taylor in the “Bejeweled” music video.
