the commentary
What a delight to wake up to see Taylor in a greeeeeeeeeeeeen set!
Last night, Taylor attended a Tight End University party. The annual event, also known as TEU, brings together tight ends across the league to bond and train together. She attended the celebration wearing a green(!) gingham two piece by Hunter Bell, a new-to-Taylor designer. The gingham print feels casual, but the coordination of the set feels put together. Great for a night out in Nashville! And, of course, the colour is perfect.
In my initial search, I happened to see the skirt retails on Anthropologie which really serves as quite a throwback. There was a time in Taylor’s style history when she not only exclusively wore coordinating sets just like this (particularly in a crop top + skirt silhouette) but when she would also snag many pieces from Anthro. One more fun fact? I was a little tickled to see that Hunter Bell launched her eponymous label in 2006. Sounds like someone else I know.
The last few years, Taylor has taken to piling on pieces. Whether that be stacks of necklaces, earrings, bracelets, or rings. During that process, she’s tapped certain brands for many of her pieces. Foundrae is among those select designers. She’s worn many of their jewels since 2023, including their chain necklaces. She’ll swap out the pendants intermittently - often seeking those with a sentimental touch. Take her heart pendant here, rendered in an opal stone that’s part of their love collection. Or a newo-toher piece by Anita Somayaji that references both her astrological sign and a certain tight end’s signature move (perfect for the event at hand).
This particular stack might look familiar as it’s a repeat from her NYC June 20 outing. The only addition is her beloved Cartier necklace for extra sparkle.
For her accessories, Taylor coordinated with crisp whites from Sandy Liang and Celine. The latter is a brand Taylor hasn’t often - read: rarely ever - worn. In fact, a check of the TSS archives tells me this is her first time carrying one of their bags. The fresh white coordinates with both her shoes and the white in the gingham check of her co-ordinating set. Outside of editorial shoots, her only other Celine piece was a runway dress worn in the “Fortnight” music video.
