Paying proper homage to the showgirl aesthetic with authentic costumes straight from the Vegas archives.

Taylor opted to pay true homage to showgirl aesthetic by pulling original costumes from the long-standing Vegas show Jubilee! for her album visuals.

It would be impossible to do a showgirl-themed album without referencing Bob Mackie — the iconic costume designer. I’m so glad to see his designs here!

The imagery we’ve seen from The Life Of A Showgirl is already so visually arresting and layered. This shot, in particular, caught my eye.

My first thought upon seeing this particular photo was its similarity to the theatrical, vaudeville, feathery elements of the “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” performance from the Eras Tour.

I found myself appreciating the images she used to mark the news. No background, no distractions, no hints at the next thing. There’s no need.

Taylor appeared virtually at the 2025 iHeartRadio Awards to accept the inaugural Tour of the Century award, marking the success of the Eras Tour.

The Chiefs may have lost the big game, but Taylor in a blazer and thigh high boots is my version of winning the Super Bowl.

Given the statement of the rest of her outfit (the fuzzy bucket hat, faux fur coat, patterned tights), I think going simple and understated with the boots was the right call and finisher to the ‘fit.

It also looks like the event was celebrated with an Eras-themed dress code. The perfect way to commemorate a major moment in Taylor’s life.

From the proper midi length and styling (swept back bun + glittering accessories + pointed pumps) this look feels like a “ladies” elegant dinner out in the city.

As expected, Taylor made an appearance at the Chiefs home game against the Raiders today in a more casual outfit than we’ve typically come to expect from Taylor’s “season two” game day fashion.

The Eras Tour is back for its final run and with it, of course, new costumes. Taylor debuted a handful during last night’s opening North American leg date in Miami, Florida - most by Fausto Puglisi for Roberto Cavalli.

A brief moment of pride for me because I happened to predict a different look from this exact same collection for the MTV VMAs. I’ll take the win!

As I’ve noted throughout the tour, one should expect the unexpected when it comes to new costumes. As in, they can happen at any time in any city at any time.

For me, this tactic is fun to see Taylor’s longtime love of vintage fashion (dating back even to 2010-2012) evolve into a way that she can express her recent love of sports (*wink*) while also shopping more sustainably - and often from small businesses.
